chittybb
I've come across a TR2 tachometer allegedly from an early aluminium bodied TR2. The seller (an older gentleman) mentioned that it was the same car either undergoing or had been restored at TR bitz and I wondered if it could possibly belong to a very significant and historically important TR? It's in very good condition the dial/face being near perfect but the glass is cracked yet works perfectly. There is probably no way to know for certain but I'd be happy to donate it if someone can collaborate the story I have about the car! I was going to list it for sale but thought I'd do the right thing and mention it on the forum.

Alec Pringle
A noble thought indeed . . . . . there are ways of distinguishing the very early tachos, and sidescreen Registrar Mike Ellis is probably the best man to advise you about your particular instrument and its possible origins. I'll send you Mike's email by PM (private message, little red envelope top right of your screen) Cheers, Alec
