rhine
Can anyone sell me a couple of pushrods for a TR6? Want to use them to time the camshaft with a dial gauge. Have sorted TDC with am 8MM bolt pushed through an old tapped sparkplug, and now need to time the cam. There were alignment marks on the duplex timing chain, but looked to me to have been 1 tooth out. Ready to fit a new PH2 Newman cam with new followers. Looking to follow the recipe done by Elin Yakov in his great series. See Thanks, Richard
john.r.davies
Rhine, You don't need to use actual pushrods. I use a pair of hard wood dowels, wrapped with insulating tape to match the bore of the cam followers. The ends can be rubbed down and polished, to ride the cam as well as a follower Has the advantage that you can make then any legnth to suit where you want to place the DGIs. John PS I should put these in my "Modified and Fabricated tools" thread! Edited June 26, 2017 by john.r.davies

Andy Moltu
I used two old cam followers with a bolt glued into the followers with epoxy putty.
rhine
Another top tip, thanks. Am now the proud owner of some hardwood dowels that I will drop onto some old followers. Jobs to do now, but out with the dial gauge tonight. Richard
