brian-nz Posted March 27, 2017 Report Share Posted March 27, 2017 Hi I have had a chance to view the 2 engines that came with my recently purchased TR6. The prefixes are: MM and MK These are obviously not TR6 engines and I believe the MM is from a 2.5 saloon but what is the other one from. Also what is the difference from TR6 engine (bhp, slower acceleration etc). Can they be adapted to TR spec. Regards Brian Quote Link to post Share on other sites
astontr6 Posted March 27, 2017 Report Share Posted March 27, 2017 Brian, Get the full engine numbers and send Chris Witor an email, he has a web site he is a guru on Triumph 6 cyl. engines as he used to race the saloons and still sells parts. The MM could be the engine to go for as it might be a very late 6 cyl. engine with the best cyl head for gas flow and modified/ stronger block/ head castings.
