stuart
Does anyone have a good original tubular pushrod for a 4a engine please. Must be the correct 4a one as ones for earlier engines are different. Stuart.

BlueTR3A-5EKT
How do you identify a good tubular push rod? Is it wear on the ball/cup, loose cup/ball, should it 'ring' when struck on vice ? I have half a dexion drawer full of push rods. probably 20 items Should I keep or throw? Peter W
Guest ntc
Interesting this as one Tr3 engine I had and yes Stuart knows about it the pushrods was bigger and stronger than some of the 4 ones I also had?

Obviously major wear or loose ends wont help same as major amounts of rust if they have been laying around in the wet. I have also seen a top cup pierced by a repro adjuster that had worn to a point in less than 100 miles! Stuart.
