It stops the pumping action and so far has sealed on two gearboxes that I have treated this way. However, for my TR250 I am going to try the Q seals but will order the washers too. benno Posted March 22, 2017 Report Share Posted March 22, 2017 Hi all, I fitted some Quad seals last week (thanks again Roger) .I tried several different ways of packing out the recess including fibre rings and the BS112 spiral PTFE back up washers. I eventually settled on slicing the original 'O' rings almost in half by sliding them up a silicon tube nozzle and cutting with a sharp knife to the thickness I needed . Alls well at present though I've only done 30 or so miles since rebuilding the cover, but no leaks yet. cheers Mike Quote Link to post Share on other sites
