Guys need your advice, jumped in the UOV this morning to go to Bicester Flywheel, went to stick it in reverse and the clutch pedal hit the floor pumped it a few times got pressure back up and all was fine for a while, but periodically problem returns.

So need your advice on where the issue most likely to lay….. slave, master cylinder or just trapped air

Will try bleeding this PM as wan't to get back on the road for flywheel 2 morrow but all suggestions great fully received

If your pedal went to the floor sounds like a leak somewhere. Check first the connections from master to slave are not leaking. If it is a leak the fluid level will have dropped in the reservoir.

Next your slave cylinder. Check to see if any fluid leaking and peel back the rubber boot just to make sure. New cylinder or preferably new seals to rectify. Try your local brake supplier its surprising what they sometimes stock.

If the lines and Slave are OK then has to be the Master cylinder, again seals may be worn and would need changing. System will need bleeding after finding the problem.

Best of luck

Very often its the slave as it lives out in the weather.Usually best to replace unless the bore is very good.
