Paul J
As everyone has been so helpful I thought I would share a tank testing method I have been using for testing and locating petrol tank leaks on motorcycles. The bungs are turned out of plastic and with a hole drilled to accept a tubeless tyre valve, using a calibrated tyre inflator the test pressure can be added, I normally use no more than 2-3 psi. Then with some soapy water the leak can be easily located. Unfortunately my TR tank failed miserably the bottom seam after cleaning was full of minute pin holes, have now replaced the whole bottom now going to slosh it as a precaution. This method has been used by myself and works fine for me, not sure how to word disclaimers but doing any repair work you do so at your own risk.
