Guest ron
I came across this on Ebay, might interest someone for oiling the trunnions, he posts them quite regularly. Item 7537933581 I have nothing to do with sale. Ron
foster461
In the US, marine stores sell a handy gizmo for oiling trunnions. It has a flexibe hose with a grease nozzle on the end and it takes screw-on oil cartidges. Here are a couple of links to the device and the gear oil suitable for trunnions: http://www-alt.mercurymarine.com/PXImages/...rt/4366_reg.jpg http://www-alt.mercurymarine.com/PXImages/...rt/4351_reg.jpg The device is around $17 and the gear oil is just under $5 a tube. jimmac
Thanks Ron. I have just purchased one of these oil guns and will report back as to how well it works. Jim
ianv
You can find these oil guns at UK boat yards. I bought mine from Sawley Marina near Nottingham - it's very good & cost about £20. Ian V
jimmac
Then the eBay ones are a bargain at £12.50 including postage. It still has to arrive or course. Jim
Peter Douglas Winn
Jimmac At the Euromeeting in Berlin I bought one for about 10.50 They are even in this Triumph supplier's catalog. Unfortunately I have not found the catalog in my mass of papers, so I do not have the exact name of the supplier.
trt74
A cheap lever action grease gun can easily be modified into a high-pressure oil gun. Detailed instructions can be found on: http://www.metalwebnews.com/howto/oilgun/gunconvert.html Good luck, Tim
