Chris Hubball
Gentlemen Following on from my posting of 29th of Sept I was lucky enough to buy a NOS Laycock Clutch Cover and Plate still in its original box from a long standing respected member of the Register so have no doubt of its authenticity. With it came a Thrust Release Bearing marked RHP UK 14/W 2 1/16 still in its sealed packaging the age of which is unknown. My question is will it be ok to use or is there an internal lubricant that may have dried out, if so can it be re lubricated, and if so with what or shall I throw it in the nearest skip. ? Any advice will be appreciated. Cheers Chris.
RogerH
Hi Chris, if the packaging is sealed then I would assume that the grease would not dry out. I would use it if it rotates smoothly. Roger
