PeteT
Hi Sage ones. Off up to Chatsworth tomorrow to put some miles on this new engine. Can one drive it with the hood up but without the side screens or does it just blow the roof off? Thought I would check first. Regards Pete
Steve R
Hi Pete Yes of course you can, gives you a bit more elbow room to heft the wheel around too. Steve
vivdownunder
Once the engine frees up, at speed the hood will billow up in the centre, but not come adrift. Fitting the pass sidescreen calms it down a bit. Viv
PeteT
Thanks guys, My longstanding navigator Minky, gets a little claustrophobic with the sidescreens up as well as the roof but I've always worried the hood would disappear. Weathers looking good for tomorrow probably won't need either. Regards, Pete
Dave Larnder
Pete Help your navigator by installing a zip out rear window. We ride with the hood up in summer against the sun but never with the sidescreens in. If your LTD pops open all the time, then reverse its direction so to release it you pull it forward not backwards like the wind does. Dave
