McMuttley
Oddly, the car is always good and strong on the morning half of a run, but, whatever the rest period, eg this Sunday a 2+ hour rest, so plenty of time to cool down; it always seems rough on the way back. Engine wheezy and lacking power, but always has a sort of rough afternoon feeling, eg this weekend a rear wobble at low speed that went away over 25mph. It desperately needs tuning, as running v rich but; but what other signs should i be looking for???? Thought it was just me, but even the wifeybsaid she senses the afternoon roughness ? Tr4Tony
Austin Take the plugs out quickly before you come back - Are the plugs oily when you do so ? If so you're burning oil which means the piston rings are tired, which explains the wheeziness when the engine is warm. Oily plugs also mean a rough idle.
