Fireman049
I'm in the process of rewiring my 3A. All the wiring in the engine compartment is connected. All the green wires are connected to terminal A4 on the fuse box. The wiring for the dash/instruments is yet to be connected. My query is this. In the dash/instruments harness there is one green wire. When I connect a live feed from the battery to A4 and then put a test lamp on the green wire inside the car there is no power there. Where does this green wire connect to and why is there no power to it? Tom.
Rodbr
Hi Tom, Not positive but it could be the green wire that goes to the indicator bulb and then to earth, will only get power when indicators are operating? Check it to "P" on flasher for continuity. Wire is light green. Also there is a darker green wire which is the heater rheostat switch and then switch to earth. peejay4A
Optional heater fan feed which according to the diagram goes to A2 on the fuse box?
Fireman049
Mystery solved! Yes Rod, it is for the indicator warning light. Also, thanks Pete for your contribution. I shall be wiring the heater as per your advice. Cheers ~ Tom. ;)
peejay4A
I think the indicator light wire is light green rather than green according to the diagram. That said, they're both green
