Chilp3
I've just received a replacement gear-shift gaiter from Rimmers for my 73 TR6 and was wondering how to fit it. Looking at the current set-up which is the original I could pull it out as it appears to be seated with a rubber diaphragm. My concern is how to fit the new one and will I need to remove the H-Frame to allow me to fix the new gaiter to the diaphragm? I'm sure other members will have previously undertaken this task and was wondering if anyone had any helpful suggestions. Best Regards, Peter
Jersey Royal
Peter, I am afraid you will need to remove the H frame. The gaiter fits inside the rubber diaphram which pushes into hole in tunnel. All secured with H Frame. Cheers Guy
