Differential Oil Seal - Which One?

Recommended Posts

I seem to have an oil leak from my diff at the Prop / Pinnion end.

Looking at the Moss catalogue they list an Oil Seal for £9.20 or an Oil Seal with 'Improved Rubber' for £5.45

Does anybody have any experience of either of these and which one they would reccommend. also while doing the job any quirks I need to be aware of?

Thanks

I bought a standard one which was the lip seal type with a spring. Maybe the improved rubber one is a copy of the origonal one which is a bit like a double rubber thing with no spring, just guessing though. I can't comment on performance yet as the car is not running but the diff has stopped dripping oil on the floor in its stationary state
