vitessesteve
When a trader buys a car does he have register it in his name? I am being told by the trader that the reason the V5 issue date is coming up as not correct is because: i bought car 16th jan run on traers policy so only sent trade part off rest doc here in previous owner name aqtired 04 08 2009 john saunders i dont keep cars regisered in my name as no need for trade insurance as i have 5 cars, hope this helps What do you think? BlueTR3A-5EKT
If it is John Saunders as in TR Reg archive dept you are in with a chance of asking questions. Cheers Peter W
dursleyman
This car is the same reg number as the one featured in the November 2000 Practical Classics. It was built as a very nice car back then so depends what has happened to it since.
had17462
What the guy is saying registering the vehicle is correct ,when we purchase vehicles we fill in the yellow section [trade] on the reg doc only, when we sell we then fill in the new keeper section. nick
vitessesteve
The car came with a copy of Practical Classics Nov 2000. I got the car safely home yesterday. As I could not get the heater to work I stopped at Leicester Forest east motorway services for a brew, unfortunately it then refused to start. Got it going by bump starting it. Understand that working on the heater is a dashboard out job so it will have wait. Body work is very good and shiny however some other bits need some work. The fascia lights do not work the heater does not work the rev counter jumps and sticks no tools or handbook spare tyre looks like the original! the hood has a couple of tears in it the door mirrors are flat intend to fit convex ones other than that it is beatiful!
