Guest ajttriumph
Somebody decided that they liked my car more than me and tried to steal it by cutting through the roof. The immobiliser stopped them from getting very far but the roof is beyond repair. I had problems fitting the last hood that i bought from the UK as it was incorrectly made and had to be altered. Can anyone recommend where i can get one that will fit without needing to take out a bank loan?
Guest Kyle - Apex
S and S Preparations?! Question: Why do people insist on cuttin the roof off when you only have to un pop the poppers and slip your hand in?!
malcolm
My S&S supplied mohair hood (Coventry hoods) is a great fit. I did have problems with the fixings to the rear rail, but S&S immediately replaced the faulty hood without question. Malcolm.
ngtf
My Robsport hood was a perfect fit and totally leak proof. Sent by return of post and didn't require a bank loan to get it. Gary
Guest ajttriumph
Thanks for the replies, its good to have a reference rather than just the sellers puffery. In answer to your question kyle i dont know why they use a knife, though the mental state of someone who steels cars is a whole other topic. In this case i was literally in buying a newspaper and got caught up talking to a friend in the shop. I was relieved that i had turned the engine off rather than leaving it running as i sometimes do (that would have been really hard to explain to the insurance company). I guess i will fit the old top whilst i await the new one.
