Tlambert
Over recent days I have acquired two original steering wheels. (Don't ask) Does anyone know where I can get them refurbished and how much It would cost. Thanks (null) Edited June 13, 2012 by Tlambert
Vic787
Did mine myself and it turned out quite nice. First rubbed the steel work down with very fine wet and dry paper. Any crackes where the spokes meet can be filled with body filler, then loads of black car paint followed by a few coats of clear laquer. Got my advice from a pro vehicle repairer. Tr4Tony
Plastic padding seems best for fillet as its slightly flexible. Gloss black metalistic paint similarly slightly rubbery, so seems to do the job. Do it when Mrs TR is out then stick it in the oven at 50 degrees to cure - smelly, so buy flowers .....
