JJC
Is there a current view on quality of new parts available from the usual supplier(s)? I need to buy some having just been stranded due to points failure. JJC
moggymankev
Hello , Do yourself a big favour and go electronic, I just recently bought a new distributor with electronic ignition and coil in one package for about £65 you can get the ignition seperate if you want .the name is accuspark i bought mine on the dreaded e bay.....It works brilliantly
dykins
JJC I agree with moggymankev. I have bought an Accuspark electronic distributor for my positive earth TR4. I haven't yet fitted it, but I intend to keep the standard distributor as a spare. Regards Peter
ianc
Talk to Martin Jay (Distributor Doctor) - he sells quality kit. Ian Cornish
RAHTR4
JJC, I do have some N.O.S. Lucas ignition spares, 1960's vintage, most of the replaceable distributor parts if you are interested. Regards, Richard
JJC
Richard, thanks. I might need to take you up on that. Martin has sorted me out at the moment by telling me which spare is which! I found my spares in the loft (handy) but TR2,4 and 6 all mixed up! JJC
