JJC
Have just received my new top. Pleased to see it has the metal plates already sewn in at the front. But I can't see how I fit the metal tube at the back. The one I salvaged from the old top. I'm sure the supplier will have ideas but help from the Forum is usually better! Tom Fremont
Should slide right under the heavy black plastic strip under the back edge, which should have holes to accept the threaded bosses of the tube
JJC
Thanks Tom. There are holes in the back for the threaded tubes but I can't see how you can slide the tube in. The top seems to be stitched both ends.
Guest ntc
Look for a slot inbound
Tom Fremont
It should be open the entire length of the front edge of the black plastic strip, i.e. sewn in back and on the sides but not the front
JJC
!!! In daylight found a neat slot as you say "inbound". Now have to work out how to get it really tight
