lens screws

I know someone out there has strugled with this issue, should I say the most easy way to get riped of !trying to get the screws tight without braking the delicate :-).,:-) plastic....

 

tricks to get that right ? with a new ordered set ?

Which lens are we talking about here?

In general, screws holding plastic components don't need to be very tight. Items like indicator/sidelight lenses will be sealed with rubber so they just need to be little more than finger tight to compress the seal.

Smear coppaslip on the screws and vaseline round the rubber seal.

The side and stop lens forgot to mention !

 

Some of the lens had a smal oring between the screw head and the plastic, I it all works like a cushion

 

Ill follow your advice, Im so anxious to get back my TR on the road after the crash.....that I screw everything :-)
