Tr4Tony
Yes quite, how embarrasing ..... I think we were had a long silence in the car on the finish line, then 'Do you think he will give us a wrong test on that one ?', 'Think so, came the reply, sorry I couldnt speak fast enough .... ' .... I think had we not got that 3 mins 18 penalty we would have won it outright ...... ffs. But thats rallying etc. ;-)
Nigel 628
Good Triumph results: 3 TR4's in the top 9, Kev's '3A at 11 (well done again, Kev and Ian!), plus all three Triumph 2000's in the top 17 including an excellent second overall for Charles and Jonathan with Tony just 15s behind. Class wins too for Charles, Tony, Darren, Kevin and Roger Bricknell (TR4). Oh dear, Tony, a missed opportunity there, 1m 21s behind the overall winner was much less than you lost on the test - remember the old saying, get it right, then go fast!! I hate it when you arrive at the start of a complicated test with no queue so it's 'ready to go' with no more than a quick glance at the diagram! I hear there was some controversy over the early navigation including elusive code boards...... After four possible navigators were all unable to make the NYC with me, and advertising for a navvy everywhere for a month, I still didn't find one in time so no show. Perhaps the word's finally got around that I'm a rubbish driver..... never mind, I'll be hammering the poor TR4 round the South Wales forests on the Neath Valley Stages this Saturday instead.
