Chris59
Hello Guys, I have made a quick search on this forum, but I didn't find what I am looking for : I would like to replace the rear springs on a TR4 A IRS, considering they are as soft as butter This car will be use for travelling, with luggages in the boot, and must stay confortable, with a correct ride height (I don't expect her to stay horizontal ). What about TT4211 (spring rate 390) or TT4212 (420) ? BTW, I'll keep the 4 standard shock absorbers and front springs. Thanks, Chris.
PaulAnderson
I've got TT4001 springs on the front (with AVO TU284 dampers) and TT4212 springs on the rear (currently standard dampers but that may change) and am perfefctly happy. I know of others who use standard springs so it's up to the individual. Paul
ctc77965o
Hi Chris, I've had the 420lb springs and the uprated lever-arm dampers on the back for 20 years, car behaves well even fully loaded... although a complete spare engine in the trunk did cause some oversteer... Chris59
although a complete spare engine in the trunk did cause some oversteer... Thanks Paul and Dave, so I will buy a pair of TT4212, they seems to be the best choice. Chris.
