andyhall
Hi, Had a bare metal respray about 5-6 years ago Royal Blue, base + laquer, nice job. Last year started to have a small area of paint start to lift where the power bulge meets up with the bonnet, about the size of a 5p, well over the last year or this has grown and can only be described as a blister, it looks like all the primer base & laquer have lifted. It is now about 50mm dia and has split at 1 end. Need to get it repaired over the winter so any suggestions for decent painters in the Kent area greatly received, also any idea what could have caused it in the first place Ta Andy
stuart
Possible cause of lift in that area may have been not quite keyed enough right into the bottom of the swage "V" and maybe too thick primer that has "bridged" and then shrunk off. Can happen on any deep swage lines. Stuart
