Spin Off oil Filter

Recommended Posts

Having just finished respraying CT24090 over the winter she is now ready to return to the road. Having been standing all winter I want to change the oil & filter. She has a spin off conversion and currently appears to have a Mahle OC 47 filter which I am having problems finding anywhere. Has anyone got any suggestions where I might get one or alternatively another brand that would fit.

Thanks

Hi,

I know very little on the subject, but a quick google produced this "the OC-47 has been discontinued and the Mahle OC-154 is the replacement"

The forum I found it on states that it is for a VW 1.8L 8V 91 Jetta.

Perhaps that is a starting point for your search.

Regards,

Richard.

I use a Champion 115 or HOF221 - used in Escort CVH 86 on. They are a long filter and available virtually anywhere.

Nigel (with TS952)

Funny how things pop up on this site-I was going to ask the same question re spin off - Oil Filters. :o

Nigel (et' all) are the Champion filters you refer to above suitable for the Purolite model also-as I believe there are a couple different makes of adaptors?

My 4A currently has a plain white filter on it-no makes or numbers at all-which is no help at all
