john minchin
Help, when I bought my car back in 2000 it came with a new one of these dashboard tops. I now am trying to fit it during the prolonged rebuild. It is really difficult (thats a polite version !). I have started to cut the foam away bit by bit, is this the technique or can you get them which fit easy straight away ? Now I can see why the car had a piece of leather fitted in this area when I bought it. Any hot tips or other advice ? Thanks
LEETR4A
Hi John Had a similar problem when rebuilding my 4A. The usual repros don't fit. The one I had was too short which meant you could see the paint in the corners when the windscreen was fitted. I got mine from Revingtons and it fitted with no fettling. It was expensive, but worth every penny. Regards Lee
