Announcing the ‘TR Register International Weekend Meet Up’
FREE to attend and just £8 to enjoy the museum.
The event
The TR Register Car Club were devastated by the cancellation of the Triumph and MG Weekend, but we could not let the opportunity pass to get friends, members, and cars together for a big annual social occasion on the same weekend – in roughly the same area of the country. So. over the last couple of days we have attempted to put on something alternative for you, that we hope you'll support and enjoy.
Whilst we might not be meeting on a large showground, the weekend gives us the opportunity to go back to basics and come together to enjoy each other’s company – just like we did at TR Register Internationals of old.
To that end, we have negotiated half price entry for all members into the UK’s newest and most unique motor museum – The Great British Car Journey.
But that’s not all, as we will be running a FREE mini–TR Register International Weekend on site in the grounds surrounding the museum with the following attractions as per below.
There is no need to book to attend. All we ask is that people book in for the Sunday road run with us during Saturday in the club tent, so that we can advise the brewery and Thornbridge Hall of numbers for the tour, tasting and photo shoot. We also need Concours and Pride of Ownership entrants to pre-enter to ensure we have enough bays.

More about the Museum
Over 140 carefully chosen vehicles tell the story of The British Motor Industry on an interactive journey spanning the last 100 years.
Guided by an audio-visual tablet, visitors will meet the two founding fathers of the industry: Herbert Austin and William Morris whose vast manufacturing plants in the Midlands produced millions of cars which were exported all over the world. British cars heralded a global transport revolution mobilising billions of people.
Now that era has passed: cars have become as reliable and disposable as a domestic appliance and the industry has become globalised and centred in the East. China is the world’s largest car manufacturer whilst Japan leads the export race which was once a British preserve. Austin, Morris and many other British brands have long since disappeared but now they have experienced a renaissance in the Derbyshire Dales.
From the legendary Austin 7 to the magnificent Mini this is the story of engineering, enterprise, and endeavour which for a brief period saw British cars rule the road.
*Please note that the arrive and drive options for sampling some of their exhibit cars on the road will not be available during this weekend event.
