The TR Register’s very own ‘TS2’, the first right-hand drive Triumph TR2 built, will be undertaking a relay between Local Groups around the UK starting on 9th April with Chiltern Group and culminating in the arrival at Stafford to open the Triumph and MG Weekend 2022. Details of the relay can be found elsewhere in TR Action, but now the TR Register is excited to announce that the UK’s number one news publication for the historic vehicle sector, Classic Car Weekly, is to support the initiative as media partners.
Classic Car Weekly, released every Wednesday, covers the latest news, buying tips and features from the world of classic cars and throughout the duration of the relay will be reporting on TS2’s progress across the country. For those Local Groups who have really pulled out the stops to do something special with TS2 whilst it is in their area, the Classic Car Weekly team of journalists will be at your event in person, reporting on the day, handing out free copies of the newspaper and inviting readers to come along with their cars and clubs to meet with TS2 and the TR Register members to find out more about the cars.
Classic Car Weekly branding will appear on and around the car at its various fixtures and later this year, Classic Car Weekly editor, David Simister, will be guest editor of TR Action to share his highlights of the journey over the course of the year. All that plus much more to be announced in the coming weeks as Local Groups confirm their activities with the car.
