Glavon Group Late Summer Run and BBQ - 3rd September 2023

The weather couldn't have been better for this run, especially considering how unsettled July and August had been. A rendezvous at Eastwood Park Garden Centre near Thornbury saw members enjoying coffee and other tempting treats before assembling on the driveway for a photo and setting off on the run which took us over the original Severn Bridge to enjoy the lovely roads and scenery of this part of Wales and neighbouring Forest of Dean. A refreshment stop was made at the Perrygrove narrow gauge railway before heading back via Chepstow and the old road bridge of 1816, to Hill Top Barn overlooking Thornbury and the Severn Vale, for an amazing barbecue courtesy of our hosts, Chris and Jan who also planned the day's route.
