TR Tours - Dutch bulb fields & Texel
Join TR Tours on the exclusive 7 Day, 6 Night tour to Holland and the Dutch Bulbfields during which you'll explore Holland’s vibrant and vivid flower fields, the spectacular Keukenhof Gardens and the Louwman Car Museum, a mecca for car enthusiasts, featuring one of the most impressive private car collections in the world. In addition you'll spend 3 Nights on Texel, the largest and most populated island in the Wadden Sea’s West Frisian Islands.
The Flower Route starts in Haarlem and runs for approximately 25 miles south to Leiden. This drive takes in the densest concentration of flower fields, with tulips, hyacinth, narcissi and daffodils forming thick primary colour ribbons off in all directions and as far as the eye can see.
Keukenhof Gardens is one of the largest spring flower gardens in the world and is in the small town of Lisse. Each autumn, more than 7 million flower bulbs from 800 tulip varieties are planted in order to bloom in spring.
Louwman Car Museum in the Hague was opened to the public in July 2010. It plays host to private collector, Evert Louwman’s, extensive range of over 230 historic cars and the world’s largest collection of automotive art.
Texel is the largest and most populated island in the Wadden Sea’s West Frisian Islands, Texel is a favorite beachside destination for vacationers and locals alike. Perhaps best known for its wildlife, the sand dunes of Texel are home to creatures such as seals, porpoises, spoonbills and birds of prey. In fact, around one-third of the island is a protected nature reserve. One of Texel’s other must-see attractions is the lighthouse. Walk up to the viewing platform of the bright red, 150-year-old lighthouse for spectacular views of the island and neighboring Vlieland island.
