Malvern Weekend a resounding success!

John and Yvonne Walker's charity fund raising event was blessed with fantastic weather. 13 cars from Glavon met up with 23 from other groups and everyone enjoyed an excellent BBQ followed by a raffle which made a major contribution to the money raised. A great day enjoyed by all who attended and many thanks go to John and his team of family and friends for making it such a success.

A great day out for classic car enthusiasts with an entry of 350 vehicles in the beautiful grounds of 17thC. Highnam Court. A garden-party atmosphere with live music, quality catering outlets, and magnificent landscaped gardens.

A very enjoyable 100 mile tulip tour through beautiful unspoilt Cotswold scenery and picture-postcard villages, which started and finished at The George Inn, Cambridge, south of Gloucester.

A memorable day at Gaydon with around 180 TR Register cars and many hundreds of others from the former BMC and Leyland constituent companies.

On 8th June, Glavon sadly lost one of its most dedicated long term members when Kevin Jones passed away after a short illnesss. Since joining Glavon in 1986 he served as both Group Leader and West Area co-ordinator as well as being very involved in all aspects of Glavon TRs over that time. A fine cortege of 18 TRs and 8 other classic cars followed Kevin on his last convoy to Westerleigh Crematorium on Tuesday 23rd June.

Glavon won the 'Best Club Stand' award at this long established show in the grounds of St Roses Special School which benefits from the funds raised. A great variety of classic vehicles looked their best in the beautiful sunshine.

Fine weather, tops down and a great drive to the amazing workshops of Fiennes Restorations who specialise in pre-war Bentleys and Rolls Royces and will tackle anything from basic maintenance to full restorations.
