Glavon Group at the Triumph Centenary Picnic - 21st May 2023

Eleven Glavon TRs cars made it up to Walton Hall for the Triumph Centenary Picnic, with seven of them travelling up together from a rendezvous at Cirencester and enjoying a great drive up the Fosse Way. The others made their own way there on various routes. The weather was marvelous and the grounds of Walton Hall were at their very best with all the trees in their fresh spring foliage.

The turnout of cars was far greater than previous years, reflecting the significance of the occasion marking 100 years since the beginning of the production of cars from the Triumph, Standard and Standard Triumph stables. And what a display there was, with the event hosts, the Pre-1940 Triumph Motor Club in particular, pulling out all the stops with a fantastic display including many rarities, the equal of some of the best concours events.

Most of the individual Triumph owners clubs were in attendance but TRs were the most numerous by some margin. It was a great day out and we look forward to attending next year's event. More photos can be seen in the Gallery section.
