Glavon Group Drive-it Day Tulip Run - 23rd April 2023

A great turnout for Glavon's Drive-it Day Tulip Tour in the Forest of Dean which included a number of Wye Dean members. The start point was the Fairview Garden Centre at Birdwood, west of Gloucester where they happen to do a good line in breakfasts!

Roger and Pauline Anderson provided full tulip route instructions which took us on a lovely scenic route including a brief stop at The Kymin, a high point with amazing views over Monmouth and far beyond. 

Final destination was The George Inn (very appropriate with it being St George's Day) adjacent to the ancient St Briavels Castle. An excellent lunch was enjoyed by all and although the weather forecast hadn't been good, the only rain we had was whilst we in the pub!
