Newsletter (Round Robin) March 2021

Hello

there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel - or is it someone with a torch bringing me details of another set of Covid rules!
Trust you are all well and have had at least your first jabs.

In view of the proposed rules which will be in force for 25th April I do not consider it would be wise to have a “normal” Drive it Day. We can always plan another run out later in the year on a more organised basis with a meeting for lunch, as normal.

By all means take the car out for a drive, if non essential travel is then allowed, and make sure that you have purchased your plaque from the TR shop in order to provide some support for a very deserving cause. NHS Rally Plate

The 50th Anniversary meeting at The Manger scheduled for 25th July has also been postponed as TS2 will not be making it's planned Round Britain Tour. This will now take place in 2022 for the 50th and a bit celebrations! If you have already sent me your details in order to drive the car on either the 26th or 27th of July I will keep these and then contact you later this year to confirm your participation .

Is there good news?

Yes.
First, Lea Valley have their Shine and Show on 21st July at The Cock near Broom, Biggleswade if anyone would like to have a trip out. Lea Valley Show and Shine

Secondly The International looks bigger and better this year with MG’s also attending. I will be ordering my tickets and departing for the show on 13th August at about 7am. This means that I shall be in good old Tesco's car park Bury St Edmunds at about 7:30 if anyone wishes to go in convoy. International

As soon as it is deemed safe we will be returning to The Manger for our monthly meetings, the first of which will be the AGM, so if you wish to stand for an office or just make your voice heard start thinking about this.

Keep safe
regards
