jbenajes
What is the purpose of the extra bulge in the emergency brake rubber boot? In my TR3A there is nothing below the boot that would require this space, which protrudes and interferes with the carpets. Thank you for your answers. Rhodri
Possibly for the speedometer cable when overdrive is fitted.
Don Elliott
I have an overdrive that was installed in my 1958 TR3A (TS 27489 LO) when it was produced and the bulge is there to provide space for the speedometer cable. The first TR2 manufactered in production was equipped with an overdrive (TS 1 LO) and right from that time all TRs had this bulge in case the car was assembled with the overdrive option.
