North London Mike
Hi guys and girls Just had some work done on 2nd gear syncro hubs/ bushes to stop it bouncing 2nd on the overrun (circuit work) All done However, now 2nd is very tough to engage from cold, not much better when hot. Will/ should this improve with use, i.e. 'bed in' or is it a setting up fault ? Thanks in advance

robgeev
Sounds like tight synchro's to me, maybe will get better after a while/maybe not! Worth trying for a bit before you strip it again though. Rob.
jellison
My Chevy Engined Chimera runing a TKO Tremec has the same problem - have to get the speeed right off before it will go in and still stiff - needs a strip reall - but whole engine and box has to come out - so putting it of for a year or so! But with tr easy to get it out. I'd give it 500 miles, maybe another oil change then if no improvemnet I'd have it out and looked at. If racing I'd do it striaght off.
