chris.greenwood
I have a 1972 UK market PI car. I have just replaced the fuel pump and filter to the modern Bosch set up. I noticed i have a bad fuel leak from behind the T piece ( the pipe that then goes through a rubber grommet to the DE union underneath. The t piece is also free floating and the rubber holding it to the floor is perished ( I have ordered these parts for reattaching the T piece). I have tried to tighten the pipe and it still leaks badly. Is there a way I can fix this or do I have to order the pipe (Rimmers PRV to DE Union - 151229 ) ? Appreciate any advice. Waldi
The metal pipe is in the high pressure (105 psi) line to the metering unit. It relies on a metal to metal seat. I suggest to remove the prv and pipe from the car and inspect the threads, mating faces and soldered connections (if there are) and then decide what to do.
