Brent C
Hi This is not Triumph car related, but I hope one of you could help. My Brother is restoring an old Triumph Scooter and the wiring diagram does not reflect the real world. The earth to the rectifier is quite obvious, but does it matter how the other two wires are connected to the rectifier? Brent
RobH
It very much depends what the thing is Brent - do you have a photo, wiring diagram or other document that would tell us a bit about it? Is it a Tigress or a Tina? Edited September 19, 2023 by RobH

Brent C
Hi Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately my brother lives some distance away and is not tech savvy. It is a 200cc BSA Sunbeam and he is using an original sixties 6 Volt rectifier Brent
RobH
I found this but the resolution is too low to read the writing The rectifier shown has four connections plus a central bolt. Two of them should be marked ∼ and the other two plus and minus. From the diagram it is a positive earth arrangement so the + terminal is connected to earth .
