Z320
Hi all, a friend of mine ask me to make a set of balancing cones for Rudge-Whitworth wire wheels, we have the dimension "42" on our TRs. I'm pretty shure about all dimensions - but not the cone angle in the central nut. At the internet I found only one historic documents with 2 x 10°, on my spare wire wheel I measure about 2 x 8-8.5 degree. Is 10° correct for the nut and 8-8.5° for the rim to be compressed? How knows and can confirm, please? Ciao, Marco Edited September 12, 2023 by Z320

Z320
Hi Peter, thank you for your effort, I did not knew your link and it offers very interesting information. For my question most useful is this webside, the 2nd sketch http://www.studegarage.com/indycar/hubs.html It shows the inner cone on the hub 60° and the outer cone in the nut 20° (2 x 10°).
