David Arrowsmith
The tyres on my fairly newly acquired, wire wheeled, TR2 are Michelin tubeless (165 15 SR) and they are something like 30+ years old! I was surprised they are tubeless on wires but of course they may be tubed anyway. I want to replace them and my local family run tyre place say they can’t source the Vredesteins (listed on a similar topic which I tried posting on) but they are recommending 165x80x15, Maxxis, or Continentals (former are about £60 cheaper for set of four) My annual mileage is likely to be less than 1000 miles. I could go with the Continentals but does anyone have any experience of Maxxis tyres on a TR2/3? Should I fit inner tubes whatever the choice? Any feedback welcome, thanks! RogerH
Hi David, I have the Maxxis on my 4A and they work very well and look reasonable. Camskill Tyres have the Vredstein Sprint Classic in Stock - very pricey. Roger
