New rear lever arm damper

Recommended Posts

..should there be any free movement of the arm before the damping effect is felt?

I've just taken delivery of a new damper (25% uprated) which, when I move the arm up and down, there is a small amount of free movement on the downward move before the resistance is felt. Before I go back to the supplier to ask, and/or fit the thing - I thought I'd ask on here for thoughts.

Thanks

Rod

Hold it in the vice as if it were fitted to the car and move the lever up and down through its full movement. The dead spot should go away as any air in them will have gone to the top    If not talk to your supplier
