GRM_6
I cracked number 4 injector pipe when fitting new core plugs. I've ordered some new pipe but I've realised that injector pipes 3 and 4 were crossed by PO and I've never noticed ( I've owned the car for two years). I've checked the other pipes back to the metering distributor and they are correct. How is it possible for it to run ok with injectors 3 and 4 crossed? I presume I'm safe to correct the connections when I fit the new pipe?
Andy Moltu
In short, yes. Whilst I haven’t put it to the test they will apparently run 180 degrees out. Presumably less than optimally but, the higher the revs, the injectors spray almost continuously.
Mike C
I've seen nothing to indicate that injection timing is critical and the fact that you've never noticed in two years says a lot. Check the ends of the nylon lines- mine have been stamped with the injector number.
