ANDREW PERKINS
SO -- The pistons in the carbs -- One pushes up and falls down very easily literally without any kind of force either way == the other pushes up and down with some kind of suction / vacuum force both ways ?? No clue about carbs -- Diaphragm Ruptured ?? ?????? Maybe ???? on the free fall / free force carb ?? -- I have as much clue as an Alien that landed here yesterday .. But my engine is kind of running very very very lumpy and revs and almost cuts out all on its own -- but always seems to get itself together so it doesn't stall -- weird thing - but you cannot use the accelerator pedal - restoration start - just checking if its actually running -- any clue where to get cheapo carb resto kits ?? -- Cheers Andrew Perkins ( COMPLETE AND TOTAL NOVICE )
harlequin
Burlen fuel systems https://burlen.co.uk/ for parts, Symptoms sound like a split diaphragm, also check that you have oil in the dampers, lastly only work on one carb at a time to avoid mixing the parts George Edited October 15, 2021 by harlequin
