Guest GeoffWalker
What tool can be used to put neat holes in the Black Webbing, to fix it to the Frame with the rivets and plates? Is it easier to make 2 small cuts with a scissors from the side? Edited August 4, 2006 by GeoffWalker
Guest ron
Not very high tech, but I used a Stanley hand drill with a 1/8" bit. Ron
jean
I'm used to perforate the webbing or canvas with a punch for 3mm holes. As often you can't use a hammer I put a piece of wood underneath and rotate the punch until it's through, no need to say that the punch has to be in good, sharp condition Jean
Richard Crawley
Jean describes it accurately & is how I did it; you can get a set of carbon steel hole punches almost anywhere for around £5. I bought 2 sets of punches that will punch holes from 1/8” dia up to 1” for just under a tenner! also very usefull for making your own gaskets!
Guest GeoffWalker
Thanks Folks! I'll buy the leather punch and the Punch set so I will succeed in one go. Regards, Geoff
