brian hughes
Hi All Have eventually got round to trying to sort the six second overdrive delay out , have taken the trash tunnel out and removed the solenoid, took it for a run with a wire attached to the lever, the o/d engaged straight away, am trying to adjust as per manual but struggling to make it work, the last owner has put an adjustable bolt at the bottom of the solenoid shaft, any help would be much appreciated. RogerH
Hi Brian, if the solenoid works rapidly when asked and the OD lever on the right hand side makes it work quickly then perhaps the the setting needs more careful fiddling. The workshop sets it up as per it should be but some times you need to just go over the top so to speak. So adjust the solenoid so the the rigging pin fits in the arm on the RH side and then give it some more so that the hole in the arm just goes past the hole in the body (by 1.2 hole) Roger Edited June 16, 2021 by RogerH
brian hughes
Thanks Roger I will give it another go , I am encouraged by the fact it does work when pulled with the wire. Regards Brian
NCS_TR3A
One thing to remember is not to go too far...... Its needs to disengage when you switch off otherwise you will damage the unit. It is a little fiddly to set up but make sure you check it disengages cleanly as well. But it does sound like it needs to go that little bit further as Roger has already stated.
