jgardiner
I am almost at the end of putting the TR8 back together after the repainting and need some advice. What pop rivet size is used on the black trim just behind the door that has the snaps for the top? Are they metric? Thanks.

TR8IAN
Depends very much on the press studs/ snaps you are using, they obviously need to fit within the stud allowing the top half to clasp on the top. I would suggest that the length needs to be as long as you can get away with so that it gives a good firm hold in the hole in the body work but remembering that that it doesn't pass all the way through the chrome/black trim around the two sides of the hood opening. I will try to take some photos of mine when I can get to the car in the next few days. Regards Ian
jgardiner
Thanks. The problem I'm having is that a 1/8 rivet head fits perfectly inside the snaps, but the holes seem to be 5/32 or 4mm. I'm the original owner so I'm sure the holes haven't been drilled out.
