Alex P
I’m hoping someone maybe able to advise me what thread type the heater switch bezel nut would be as in the photo. I Know it’s not metric and wouldn’t think it’s a UNF being on a British 60s Car so i assumed it would be a BSF. I’m not so sure it is now. Could it be a BSC thread? Thanks in advance! Alex P
Hi Roger Thanks for the reply. Now I know the size, i need to know the thread type. I need to purchase a Tap & Die for this so need to insure I order the correct one. Is 9/16 24tpi a UNEF thread would you know? Thanks
RogerH
Hi Alex, they are all special sizes but available. The thread angle is of little importance due to their fine nature - 55' or 60' will work. I am sure that I have these taps/dies. If you are only doing the odd item and want to borrow them I'll check my boxes. Or have a look at TRacy tools https://www.tracytools.com/taps-and-dies/brass-cycle-special/9-16-x-24-tpi Roger
