Phil M Posted December 5, 2018 Report Share Posted December 5, 2018 I tried to fit MX5 conversion brackets from TRTrader and found they cannot be mounted directly on the floor as the chassis mounting plates hinder this. Clive at TRTrader suggested most people mount them on the carpets using spacers or change the chassis mounting plate for body washers. Has any one who has used these brackets come across this problem, if so, what mounting solution did you use? Thanks Phil Quote Link to post Share on other sites
cookie Posted December 26, 2018 Report Share Posted December 26, 2018 Yes, had exactly the same problem, although didn't get the brackets from TR Trader. Not sure if we have done right or wrong but just put some packing between the bracket and floor pan and carpet on top. Although not on the road yet (ongoing major rebuild) seats seem fine. Had to elongate the fixing holes slightly to enable the seat to slot on to the bolts easily. Dave Quote Link to post Share on other sites
