Voltage Stabilizers Positive v. Negative Ground

Recommended Posts

I thought these were neutral, but Moss is showing a positive and a negative choice? Recently converted to negative to fit the electronic ignition and was having issues with the temp gauge reading hotter than my infrared picked up on. Any idea why the two choices? Is it because these are solid state instead?

As you say, if they use a semiconductor regulator they will only work on the appropriate polarity. The old bimetallic-type regulator didn't care - but it looks like Moss don't stock that any more.
