JJC
Is there a way of topping up an early box? The filler hole doesn't seem to be quite as expected. I do have several other boxes all of which are as you would expect. Anyone with early box knowledge able to help? JJC
ianc
Remove large rubber bung which is situated on top right of gearbox cover. This will reveal a dipstick with a circular top. Remove dipstick, wipe clean, reinsert, pull out and check the level. If beneath full mark, pour some oil into the open hole - a funnel can help to avoid spillage! Allow time for the oil to settle, especially if you have overdrive. Don't over-fill as it's very difficult to remove the excess! Repeated additions of a small quantity is the best way to proceed. JJC
Forget it!,, a true senior moment. I've been doing the same thing on the 6 and forgot the early box has a filler and dipstick. All that fuss for nothing
