peter moffatt
Hello All, I am currently restoring a 250 & the progress is quite good. The chassis is shot blasted & painted all new brakes ie front discs/calipers/hoses/ new brake lines etc. the g/box & o/drive o/hauled as with the diff. The engine rebuild is nearly finished. bodywork nearly completed ie cills/1 new floor pan. Hopefully the body shell is off to the paint shop in the next 3/4 weeks. As with the engine I have replaced the Strombrerg carbs with HS6s & someone tells me that the original air filter housing catches on the wheel arch & has to be changed for TR4 type air filter housings. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject & if any one has these housings spare would they consider selling them. Many Thanks Peter
stuart
I would have thought that unlikely Pete as you have the depression on the arch anyway to allow for air plenum on PI 5`s. Stuart.
peter moffatt
Thanks Stuart. I should have thought of that, its not the first 250 I have restored but I think old age & memory loss have started to to take effect. I was wondering where the expression !! old fart !! came from, but please dont tell ntc that. Cheers Peter
